The IPG Group has gained a generally recognized reputation in the world of fiber and laser technology as one of the most dynamically developing companies in the world with strong scientific and technical potential. IPG (and NTO “IRE-Polus” as its integral part) is the world’s only manufacturer of industrial fiber lasers in the multi-kilowatt range (up to 50 kW) for cutting, welding and heat treatment.

The production volume of such lasers is growing rapidly, displacing other types of lasers from the industry.

Facts from the past

HISTORY OF NTO “IRE-POLUS”

1991

The company was organized in Fryazino, near Moscow. Its founder, the head of the IRE RAS laboratory, Valentin Gapontsev, united around himself a group of enthusiasts (physicists and engineers from two institutes), and began to explore areas of practical application of their potential.

1993–1994

A small team of company employees conducted intensive research and developed the first prototypes of diode-pumped fiber light amplifiers, which exceeded their foreign counterparts in power.

1995

Gapontsev moved to work in Germany and founded the company IPG Laser GmbH.

1997

Founding of IPG Fibertech S.r.l. in Milan. Start of mass production. The first order was completed for the Italian telecommunications company Italtel, the second was an obstacle monitoring system for helicopter flights for Daimler Benz Aerospace. The largest order worth several million dollars is for a leading American telecom
operator Bell outh.

PRODUCT WARRANTY

All products of NTO IRE-Polus are guaranteed against defects in assembly and used components for the period of time specified in the Supply Agreement or specifications for the device, starting from the date of dispatch of the device to the Customer.

NTO IRE-Polyus guarantees compliance of the device with the specification under normal operating conditions. NTO IRE-Polus may, at its sole discretion, replace or repair any device that, in the objective opinion of NTO IRE-Polus, is defective in materials or workmanship during the warranty period.
All products repaired during the warranty period are covered by the warranty for the unexpired warranty period.
